A SIMPLE GUIDE TO DESIGNING AND PRINTING YOUR T SHIRT DESIGN

It seems more designers are trying their hands at the t-shirt design and printing business. This has been a growing trend over the past couple of years. Well, it seems hard for new designers to break into the market due to high competition, but by taking things a step by step, with a well stipulated plan, new designers can tackle all the problems facing them and cash in on the tshirt design business.
In this article, we are going to teach you as a new designer, where to get inspiration for your first design, how to print it, and a information on self promotion and marketing.
Find a Specific Theme that You Are Passionate About
Being a designer is very demanding. I know at one time you have had to dsign ideas and items that you were totally bored about, or a subject matter that simply never interested you. This takes the fun out of the work. On the other hand, working on something that inspires you and you are interested in, suddenly it does not feel like work at all. There's something that ignites a spark in all of us, and we end up going an extra mile to make this project incredible.
Keeping in mind, that you need to find a theme for the T-shirt Printing Singapore design, something that inspires you to do something exponentially great. The design theme could be anything from rock music to extreme sports.

Your Target Audience
Once you have decided on the theme, do all the necessary research so as to pinpoint your target audience. Having a good understanding of who you are making the design for is great for you and your business. Know whether the target audience is female or male , young or old and what part of they live in. Have a clear understand of what they like to wear, the colors they like, imagery they like and the appropriate fonts to use. You need to know these things before putting your pen to paper, or the mouse in hand to start making your design.
Inspiration
After you have found your theme and you now know exactly the person you are designing for, it’s now time to look for some inspiration. The source of your inspiration might vary depending on your theme..
Be very creative with your inspiration. At the end of it, you are only as good as what inspires you to design, so spend more time on this part, and then create a concept that will get people talking and turn heads.
Sitting Down to Create Your First T-Shirt

File Consideration and Set up.
When you are setting up your file to begin making the design, there are a couple of things that you should consider. What will be the size of the graphic? Will the graphic be printed on coloured, light,or black material? Will the design be silk screened or printed digital? If it will be silk screened, how many colors will be printed?.
Print on Demand or Printing an Inventory.
For your very first design, it is probably not practical nor cost effective to print an inventory to have on hand. This is because you are not sure what the sales might be like for a particular design. You should be aware of all the printing options available.
